The judgement
It is hexagram 34 of the I Ching, formed by the Heaven trigram below and the Thunder one above: six lines, three for each trigram. The Power of the Great is thunder in heaven: force that advances. Strength without justice becomes violence; with justice, it is spring.
Trigrams
- Lower
- 乾 Heaven
- Upper
- 震 Thunder
What it means today
You have surge. Use it for an upright cause, not to overbear. Body, voice, mandate: keep the measure or you break against the wall.
Classic image
Thunder in heaven. The wise person does not walk on paths that are not luminous.
Love
In love the passion is high. Direct it toward care and truth, not toward possession.
Work
At work it is a moment of assertiveness. Negotiate from strength; remain correct. Bullies last little.
Relationships
In relationships, do not use your verbal force to win. Use it to protect.
Decisions
Advance if the way is clear. If it is only ego, stop: the Great without light is danger.
